Dr. Joel Weisberg

Dr. Joel Weisberg’s interest in conservative ways to help heal and care for the body began with his decade and a half in competitive athletics. Non-invasive, drug-free, gentle and effective — chiropractic care was a true calling. Helping people regain their health and return to their lives is about so much more than the pain.

Dr. Weisberg believes in giving back to the profession he has so much respect for. He is a leader, having served in many roles, including; for the chiropractic regulatory board of Ontario, the examining board of Canada, the Ontario Chiropractic Association, and the Association for the History of Chiropractic. Dr. Weisberg has also trained and supervised interns from Logan Chiropractic College.

Through his leadership and service, Dr Weisberg has received the Community Service Award from the Ontario Chiropractic Association, as well as the Society Leader’s Award. Dr. Weisberg was the 2007 recipient of the prestigious Heart and Hands Award. He has also received a Presidential Citation from the chiropractic regulatory board.

Samantha Ristimaki

Dr. Samantha Ristimaki

Dr. Samantha Ristimaki is an established Naturopathic Doctor. She received her undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Neutraceuticals from the University of Guelph. Her passion for health then led her to pursue a 4 year graduate degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, where she graduated with Honours.

When Dr. Ristimaki is not with patients, she inspires people to stay healthy and active by teaching fitness and yoga. She also enjoys running and mountain biking.

Rishma Hirji

Rishma Hirji

With a decade-and-a-half of experience and an unwavering enthusiasm for massage therapy, Rishma Hirji is thrilled to finally return to the Downsview Chiropractic family.

Rishma studied at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, and has been registered as a licensed therapist since August 1995. Rishma first joined the Downsview Chiropractic team in 1996, and during this earlier time she continued studying to deliver better and more thorough care. She studied yoga in Toronto and abroad in India in order to gain a deeper understanding of the complexities of the musculoskeletal system.

Rishma is well known for her deep, soothing and rhythmic techniques. A devoted “muscle mechanic”; Rishma is ready to assist those desiring a higher level of health and well-being.

Kirsten Wort

Kirsten Wort

Kirsten Wort's therapeutic touch reveals that she is a born healer. She completed her formal massage therapy training at the Bryan College of Applied Sciences. She is dedicated to continuing education, so that she can learn and use the broadest set of therapies to help people with their health goals.

Kirsten has a keen interest in working with adults and children afflicted with neurological disorders, and will be pursuing courses devoted to these issues as well. She also enjoys volunteering for a variety of community resources, including storybook reading to the young patients at SickKids Hospital every week.

Michelle Olajide

Michelle Olajide

Michelle Olajide graduated from her massage training at the D'Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy, in London Ontario, in 2001. With a decade of experience practicing as a massage therapist, she has developed an avid following. Michelle is well accustomed to working in a multi-disciplinary environment. She is comfortable to deliver, and co-ordinate, care with you in mind.

Michelle has a reputation for her ‘intuitive hands’, earned by her quick and accurate ability to find a patients muscle concerns, and the ease with which they are addressed.

Deborah Nightingale

Deborah Nightingale

Deborah Nightingale recently completed a 3-year program in psychotherapy. She is delighted to be meeting with clients at Downsview Chiropractic while training as an intern therapist with the Living Institute Student Clinic.

Her focus is helping people find meaning in their lives by becoming more aware and accepting of who they truly are. She can help reveal a sense of purpose, help identify what's stopping someone from achieving goals, and help guide with follow through. Deborah's forte is bringing together the practical and emotional aspects of your life. She works with individuals and couples.

Kelly Lipperman

Kelly Lipperman

Kelly Lipperman had been a patient of Downsview Chiropractic for many years before seeking out a role where she could contribute to other’s exceptional experiences.

She brings with her many years of customer service and office management experience. Kelly began her professional career in Newfoundland’s hospitality industry at a young age, and has worked along-side some of the best service providers in the industry. She polished her hospitality experience at Toronto’s Royal York Hotel.

Deanna Belli

Deanna Belli

Deanna Belli had also been a patient of Downsview Chiropractic for many years. She joined our team in 2006, and remains on staff as in a casual capacity. If your visit is timed it right, you may experience her bright smile and helpful attitude.

She brings with her formal training in massage therapy, and a background in tourism/hospitality. Deanna’s personal interests span from gardening to cake decorating. Deanna considers herself a jack of all trades — but most importantly she loves working with people.

Alexa Tomaszewski

Alexa Tomaszewski

Alexa Tomaszewski graduated from York University in 2008 with an Honors Degree in History and Anthropology, and is currently pursuing a formal education in journalism. During this time she has worked part time as an assistant to various health care professionals from doctors to nurses.

A bright, positive attitude paired with strong organizational skills help keep the office running smoothly. The best part about working with health care professionals for Alexa is the daily interaction with people. In a world of digital communication, nothing is as rewarding as having face to face conversation with another person, hearing a different viewpoint, a good story or even simply smiling with someone who’s had a rough day. A jack of all trades, Alexa’s willing to help in any way she can.
