stressed manHeadaches have been a common theme for my patients this week. I’ve frequently seen that headaches occur due to excessive tension in the joints/muscles of the neck. Why? There are nerves that start from the neck and travel towards the top of the head, and if the nerves are irritated by the joints/muscles of the neck, it results in a nasty headache.
What can you do for yourself right now?

One of the most significant areas responsible for headaches are the suboccipital muscles. A simple thing you can do for yourself is massage this area. It’s located at the back of the head just below the skull. Take your fingers and search around for tender areas! Keep pressing on the tender areas until the muscle slowly relaxes.
