You may have heard us mention exercise as part of your care. Over... and over... and over again.... And that's because not only is there great evidence for exercise in treatment strategies (this is called 'multi-modal care'), but because there are so many spin-off benefits to go with your treatment. It's like a 'free gift with purchase'!

Here is one of my favourite papers on exercise. Turns out that different types of exercise also have different spin-off benefits. After low-intensity exercise,MRI showed that networks in the brain associated with cognitive control/attention were stimulated. In comparison, after high-intensity exercise, networks associated with emotions were more active, and those related to fatigue decreased.

More research is needed, and any exercise recommendations you get from us will be in the context of your goals and plan-of-care. But we found this study interesting... er, it has our attention... um, we feel great about it... well, we're just going to go exercise now...
